In September 2007, Animals Australia did a new investigation in the Middle East, where Australian and non-Australian animals were subjected to extreme cruelty, careless handling and brutal slaughter. Sheep were shoved into bar boots, brutally handled, and then left to bleed a painful death at a slaughterhouse while temperatures were regularly up to 40°C. The people at the Middle East believed the Australians approved of this treatment, or the animals wouldn't have been exported into their countries.
